There's a new show on Star One "india calling". Promos are interesting, as any on Star bouquet. But I can't help feeling, these guys are trying to fill-in the gap left by Kareena Kareena. Mon to Wed 9:30 pm slot. Protagonist Chandni, a Punjabi working girl from Jallandar (Chandigarh, in case of KK). Directly speaking to camera. The first episode was ok, usual kind - considering that it was to give some background.

Havent seen india calling & I would think there may be quite some time before I see nething on tv, given that dh has removed the cable connection!duh! the kids were going berserk w/ beyblades :((
But I do think that it'll be tough to replace KK as it was the actor who made it so interesting! btw, I read somewhere that for all her chandigarh vibes she is namma bengaluru hudugi.
Oh Yes, me too kept advertising the fact that Kuldeep Randhwa is from Bangalore. Wonder how I missed it out from my post !
And totally agree with you. It was Kuldeep who made 'Kareena Kareena'.
Watched 2 episodes of IC, and nothing yet. Its just so-so. Going by the promos, I hope the office-politics part will be entertaining.

Naresh, It definitely looks like about call-centers. But I doubt its based on any one book or source. The first 3 episodes were take off on Aaina and heavily off DDLJ. God knows what will follow. Anyway, I will wait & watch for some more time. Otherwise 9:30pm slot is a blackhole.
Amarnath, you hit the nail right on its head. What can I say - I am a TV Addict. And that explains my NoTV stance. But I have promised myself - 1 more month & I will return the TV.
